Little Quiapo has always been the favorite go-to place for people when they crave for some delicious good old-fashioned Filipino home cooking. I was craving for some "lutong bahay" food, so my hubby and I decided to have lunch at Little Quiapo, BF Homes Paranaque.
It's been 7 years since the last time we ate here and I'm happy that nothing much has changed. They have maintained their minimalist interiors and cozy ambiance that make you feel like eating in someone else's home.
Little Quiapo is also a popular venue for Christening and other group gatherings. They offer set menus that you can choose from. Plus, they also do catering services. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a picture, but you can call them or have them fax over their menu to you.

Since they do offer freshly cooked food, do expect that your food won't be served within 15 minutes or more depending on your order. In our case, we waited for 20 minutes, but the waiting was definitely worth it. Here are our orders:

A very simple but delicious fried chicken perfect for lunch. The sweet sauce on the side made it extra special, too, because it enhanced the flavor of the chicken. It's a great alternative for ketchup if you ask me. Hubby and I just love this dish.

Since hubby and I are on a diet and tried to avoid rice as much as possible, we decided to order their Pancit Guisado as our side dish and we really weren't disappointed. The noodles weren't that heavy in the tummy and it was delicious, too. There were also plenty of veggies, shrimps, and pork in it. This was a big serving so we got to take home some leftovers.

I ordered the biggest halo-halo they have, which is the Fiesta Halo-Halo, and I felt intimidated (haha). It was quite huge. It actually reminded me why Little Quiapo became famous with their halo-halo. If you want a halo-halo that offers all the classic ingredients in it such as mongo, langka, nata de coco, coconut shreds, ube, pinipig, kidney beans, and so on, then this is the halo-halo for you. They also offer smaller versions of it so you don't need to worry about the size. Oh, and the taste? Very delicious and refreshing. Maybe a 1-2 kilometer run is enough to burn this :D
So that ends our simple, but delicious lunch at Little Quiapo. Good food and good service really what makes people come back to this place. I highly recommend you dine here if you haven't yet.
