Kawit Celebrates Christmas with a Historical Touch

#PaskongKawiteño #TaraSaKawit

It’s that wonderful time of the year where the Philippines celebrates another delightful and festive season. Despite the hustle and bustle of the busy and traffic streets and establishments, everyone is busy getting their Christmas shopping done. I still find it fortunate for us that there are a few sights and sounds in nearby areas where we can feel the true spirit of a Filipino Christmas, especially with our loved ones.

Christmas has always been a part of the Filipino tradition and culture and what better way to celebrate the holidays is by visiting some of the most historic sites in the country with your friends and loved ones. Kawit in Cavite is one of the most sought-after historical sites in the country today and it is one that you should visit this Christmas Season.

Kawit, Cavite is home to some of the most historic sites in the Philippines. This is where the Aguinaldo Shrine is situated wherein the Philippine flag that we know of today was first waved publicly announcing our Independence by none other than the first Filipino President, Emilio Aguinaldo. There’s also a lot to learn about our first president and how he has lived his life and times during the revolution era. Beyond the Shrine also are other sights to see including the “Museo ni Baldomero Aguinaldo” hailed towards the cousin of Emilio Aguinaldo and grandfather of Cesar Virata who as a prime minister in the 1980s.

What Museums Should You Visit in Louisville?

Summer vacation season is over, but traveling isn’t. People traveling cross-country for business, holidays, or just to get out of their routines. Don’t be surprised if you end up passing through the city of Louisville, Kentucky.

Centel Acne Clear Review

Since I was in 6th grade, I have been looking for facial washes that are effective against pimples or acne. Sometimes, a product would work, but for some reason the effectivity of the product slowly fades so I'd have to look for another product that will give good results.

I have been given a chance to review the Centel Acne Clear Wash Foam and I was so lucky to do it. I have to admit that the brand is not familiar to me, but I don't really rely much on brands to see if the product works or not. I'm just wishing to have had this 25 years ago when I had acne so I can try its effectivity. But even though I no longer have one, it's still worth to try if my 1 or 2 pimples would disappear using it.

The Centel Acne Clear Wash Foam

Impressions

First impression of the product from its packaging is that it has a very direct approach that tells us it will fight or it will clear acne for you. There's nothing like writing your message in big red fonts like there's an emergency or it's something that should belong in a medical kit. I like that it didn't bother much with the designs like putting flowers or or other colorful things that might improve its visual impact because it gives me the impression that they're confident that their product works and it's serious about its purpose.

First Usage

The first time I used it, I noticed that its foam is unscented. When I used it on the face, it was just like any other facial cleansers I used. I did not feel any sting or itchiness while I use it which is a good start. The interesting part is when I started washing it off.

When I started to wash it off, the foam just got washed off immediately. No residue was left that I needed to repeatedly wash off with water. It just gave me a clean and refreshing feeling on the skin. It's like the clean feeling I get after washing with Safeguard on the face, but has that moisturizing effect that Centel Acne Clear gives you which I believe is what makes this product stand out.

Not an Oil-Control Product

Yes, since it fights acne, DO NOT expect it to be an oil-control product and I also noticed it 4 hours after wash. I was at home and I started noticing my face becoming oily again which is a common thing. I guess it's a question of priorities whether you want your face to be acne-free or oil-free ,and at the moment, I wanted my pimples to disappear so, yeah, acne-free it is.

Did It Work?

After 4 days of using it, my small pimples did disappear without leaving any marks so yes, it did work for me. Honestly speaking, I did not have acne while I used it so I really can't say its effectiveness on acne. But since it got rid of my small pimples, that's good enough for me to recommend it to you.

A Peek About What is Data and Its Importance

The importance of data has proven its worth in today’s digital age especially in the fields of ecommerce, business, or almost anyone who uses a computer. Business leaders nowadays heavily rely on their gathered data to make better decisions for their company in terms of profit.  Data collection used such as phone surveys, email marketing, or even people-to-people meet ups on malls are essential for the business to learn more about their customers’ wants and needs.  Whatever the method, most data had to be collected manually for businesses to understand their customers and market better. Because of the financial cost, time, difficulty of execution, and more associated with data collection, many companies operated with limited data.

I personally sometimes participate in online surveys that companies hire to get data from people. Surveys would often ask about job, income, what products you have bought in the last 6 months or so, and sometimes they would show a video of their newly-made commercial and you input your thoughts, reactions, first impressions about it. I really thought it was cool to participate in one of those once in a while, but getting them done every month is quite tiresome.

Data and Databases

As I am writing this article, I instantly use data when I save this article in my computer. Its data consist of the date I made it, the author’s name, etc. It’s the same with business. Any business with a website, a social media account, an online form that accepts electronic payments of some form, etc., has data about customers, user experience, web traffic, and more. All that data is filled with potential if you can learn to utilize it to improve your business.

Data that has been given by a customer will be stored in a place called a database. There are different types of databases. There are small databases used for simple data storage for single users and there are big databases that store huge amounts of data and information from big businesses or commercial vendors such as in ecommerce websites, financial institutions with banking features, and more.

Big companies or enterprises need big databases to store information that is not open to the public such as employee records, company files, contracts, and more. Master data is typically shared by multiple users and groups across an organization and stored on different systems. Databases such as Microsoft’s SQL uses master data services which is Microsoft’s solution for managing master data.

Data is Good for the Environment, Too

Data is not only limited to enterprises and big companies. Did you know that the waste and recycling industry stands to benefit from utilizing data as well?  For developed countries, the use of data allows for garbage trucks to determine the best route to take, which not only reduces emissions but increases operational efficiency as well. This is really beneficial to all countries and I hope more truck companies would consider using it. I have to admit, the utilization of data seems to be in the early stages of the waste and recycling industries. I just hope that data systems can one day expand to improve recycling rates.

I Had My Impacted Wisdom Tooth Removed: Did It Hurt?

I hate dentists. Well, it's not that I hate them, I'm just afraid of having an oral surgery because the word, surgery, scares me. I always thought that the procedure would really hurt (according to the movies I've seen) which is why I'm scared of them.

My first wisdom tooth started to come out during my college days and I had no problem with it initially. It just went out perfectly. Until now, it still functions normally as my molar's assistant in terms of grinding food. The problem is my second wisdom tooth that appeared during my 20s on the left side of my gums. It was really painful while it was growing, but since I didn't have the money nor the resources to go to the dentist, I just took some pain killers and waited for the pain to go away. The pain did went away after a few days so I just ignored the said tooth thinking that it will all be okay.

Overnight Stay at Zen Rooms Millenia Suites

The last time we stayed at a Zen Room was just last summer in Aloha Hotel. This time, my kids' examination period has just ended and the preparations for our village's trick or treat was a bit stressful for me so I thought it's time to use my free overnight stay that Zen Rooms offered me so we could relax before the new semester begins.
