Dinosaurs Around the World Exhibit at the Mind Museum

My 5-year-old daughter just loves dinosaurs. I actually thought of going to Pampanga just to visit the Dinosaur Island, but it's just too far and we didn't have the time and budget. That's why when I found out that there's going to be a Dinosaur exhibit in Mind Museum, I looked for tickets online right away. I saw the Dinosaurs Around the World promo in Metrodeal last December and I bought it right away.  I knew I just have to have it so my family come and see the moving dinosaurs. 

Converge ICT lends support to “My Dream in a Shoebox"

Converge ICT Solutions, Inc. recently lent its support to the “My Dream in a Shoebox” Gift-Giving Day activity for the benefit of the Payatas Orione Foundation. The event was held at the Mother of Divine Providence church grounds located in Payatas, Quezon City.

“My Dream in a Shoebox” is a long-running project that collects and distributes shoeboxes filled with

school supplies to poor and underprivileged Filipino children around the country. It is spearheaded by TeamAsia together with the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines, Inc. (IBPAP).

My First Web Commercial of Moringa-O2

This actually happened 2 years ago when I won a contest sponsored by Moringa O2. I simply submitted to them my entry on how their products improved my lifestyle. More specifically, I used their Moringa oil to my yellowish toenail for 2 months and the oil eventually healed it. The people from the agency handling Moringa-O2 contacted me and scheduled for the shoot. 

The day of the shoot arrived. From Paranaque, I went to Pasig via cab. I was at the place at 5:30AM and we waited for other people to arrive. There were 5 of us who are going to do a web commercial plus the staff. We stayed in a big house with lots of rooms. I was assigned a bedroom where I can memorize my lines and relax while I wait for my turn. The others have started to do the shoot in different areas of the house - some at the living room, the kitchen, the lanai, etc. Mine was done at the stairs going down to the living room.  My work started at around 11AM. 

I thought everything was going to be easy, but it wasn't. Saying the exact same lines over and over again with a bright smile facing the camera while I think of what I will do next is very exhausting. Sometimes I would forget the lines because I was so nervous, but thankfully I have an assigned assistant who wrote my lines on a Manila paper and holds it as she stands by the camera so I can see them. After the shoot, my respect to actors, actresses, and even directors just leveled up because redoing scenes, again and again, is no joke. It's seriously hard work and dedication.

We were able to finish at the end of the day at around 4PM. After the shoot, we were given our cash prize plus a thousand-peso worth of Moringa products.

It was a night of fun, surprises and sharing during the annual Get Together party of the Filipino Bloggers Network (FBN), one of the most active bloggers group in the country, last December 12 at Salu Restaurant in Quezon City.

Our Holiday Staycation Using AirBnb in Shell Residences

During Christmas break, I thought of having a staycation with my family just to relax and have fun. I started looking for cheap hotels that can accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids for 3 days and 2 nights online. That's when I remembered I still have 1,200 credits in AirBnb that I can use for my bookings, so that's when I considered trying to stay in a condo instead of a hotel simply because it's cheaper and to use my discount.  It was my very first time using Airbnb and our first time staying in a condo instead of a hotel. I really thought there wouldn't be much difference not until we actually experienced staying in one.
