The Honorable Singapore Ambassador to the Philippines Gerard Ho Wei Hong sits on the Awards Committee of the Asia Leaders Awards (ALA) —the Philippines and Southeast Asia’s biggest business recognition event.
This year’s Asia Leaders Awards (ALA) Awarding Ceremony will be held on November 22, 2022.
Selecting the Philippines and Southeast Asia’s Best
Ambassador Gerard Ho Wei Hong, together with the ALA Awards Committee for the past five years has truly proven how their selections go beyond and growth by putting premium on the extent of winners’ individual and corporate social responsibility efforts: from their own employees further out to their communities to the whole nation!
“The past year has been extraordinarily challenging for all of us. Despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, our economic ties are robust. Singapore remains one of the top investors int eh Philippines, and our companies are bullish about the Philippines,” shared Ambassador Ho.
“Another testament to the enduring friendship between our two countries is the donations of medical equipment like RT-PCR machines, COVID-19 test kits, and oxygen concentrators from the Singapore government and Singapore organizations like Temasek Foundation to support the Philippines’ fight against COVID-19. International cooperation remains ever more important as the world, and especially our region, continue to battle new waves and variants of the virus.”
Thus, Ambassador Ho is all out in supporting Filipino individual and business achievers, in industry and civil society, who have shown the same dedication to thriving as an organization and, while doing so, helping others to rise above the circumstances.
To further fortify their support, 2021’s Awarding Ceremonies were hosted by no less than the Singapore Embassy along Rizal Drive at the heart of Bonifacio Global City.
BGC used to be a sprawling fishing community skirting the Laguna de Bay until it was transformed into a prime real estate enclave for industrial bigwigs.
