Tous Le Jours opened its doors to the southern people not so long ago. They opened their branch in SM Southmall and my sister decided to buy one of their cakes for us to taste test:

This cake is perfect for Mother's Day or Valentine's Day. This cake is filled with Hand Picked Strawberries from Korea.
Perfect Balance of Strawberries and Fresh Yogurt Cream Icing topped with Natural Strawberry Powder.

Christening Celebration at Big Plate

Last September 30, 2012 was my daughter's Christening and I decided to make reservations at Big Plate because of their reasonably priced buffet package!

Buffet Rates:
Adults: Php 298 per person + Php 60 per person for unlimited iced tea.
Kids: Php 168 (inclusive of 1 round of iced tea)

When we realized that Akihabara Cafe is conveniently located near my husband's ancestral house in Las Pinas, we decided to buy this deal to check out the place.

Chewy Junior: A Cream Puff Haven!

Today is a great day because I was able to purchase two boxes of 15 pieces assorted cream puffs from Chewy Junior for P200 (P100 per box) that originally costs around P350 These are, I think, samplers only so you can get a taste of all their flavors because I don't see them on display in their Greenbelt branch.

A Sumptuous Dinner at Gloria Maris

On my birthday last Sunday, May 20, my sister treated the whole family to Gloria Maris. Thanks to the infamous group buying site, Cash Cash Pinoy, we were able to enjoy Gloria Mari's set meal for 10 at half the cost. My sister chose Set D for Php2,825.

Cake Slices from Banapple

We were so happy that Banapple has opened a branch in Alabang Town Center. As soon as we heard that they're open, we bought a few slices and took them home.


White Chocolate Truffle Berry Cheesecake (P 110)

Very thick cheesecake with plenty of strawberry cream and filling on top. For me, one slice is more than enough because it's fills up my tummy easily. I'd probably order another slice again. Ordering a whole cake would be too much already.

Cake2Go also has something similar like this one called White Choco Cherry Truffle cheesecake, though, I haven't tasted that one yet.


Apple Caramel Crumble Pie (P100)

This caught me by surprise because one bit of this baby, I could taste the rich apples with a hint of wine/liquor. It's very tasty and so yummy! I love this.


Banoffee Pie (P 95)

Now I know why this pie is so popular. One bite and I can taste everything - the bananas, the toffee, the rich and thick cream and the crust. The chocolate shavings goes well with it, too. Take note that this cake has large slices of bananas so you might get overwhelmed with it. ;)

Mystery cake ???

This is not actually a mystery cake. I just simply forgot its name. In all honesty, it took us 3-4 days before finishing this slice. It was too sweet for us. After having a bite or two, we take it back to the ref which is why it lasted for 3-4 days.We won't order this again probably.

They still have plenty of pies, cakes and cheesecakes to choose from so going back to Banapple would inevitable.

More Cakes from Cake2Go

I've always been curious on what the other cakes from Cake2Go taste like. Thanks to my sister, she financed our dessert treat on that day. So here's what we ordered:

Angel Gabriel Mousse (P90)
It tastes like blueberry cheesecake without the cream cheese.

A slice of Cafe Misu.
It does taste like Tiramisu added with rich and chewy chocolate on top. I might order this again soon.

A slice of Quattro Leches.
One of their best-sellers. It's not too sweet, very soft and quite delicious. I definitely recommend this cake.

Fudge Mousse (P95)
This cake tasted weird. I don't know if they gave us an expired cake or it just tastes that way. At first bite, it tasted a bit sour and then as you continue to taste it further, it becomes sweeter. One thing I'm sure of is that I won't order this again.

Moccachinos (P95).
If you want to eat a cake that's RICH in mocha, this is the cake for you. Every bite I took, all I could taste was mocha, mocha, mocha. Again, this one is too sweet for me so I probably won't order this again.

Toblerone Cheesecake.
Not too sweet and not too bland either. I couldn't taste the Toblerone though, but I still like it for some reason :)

Coffee & Cake Combo at Serye Café Filipino

My sister bought the "Cake and Coffee Combination" promo from Ensogo and all I have to say is what we saw from the pictures is really what you get.

FYI: The promo is only P99 for a coffee and cake that's worth P200, but if you ordered a pair that exceeds the P200, then you'll have to pay the excess value.

Suman. My mother says it lacks flavor. She still prefers suman wrapped inside banana leaves.

Apple Pie
We didn't like this. It tasted like bread reheated in a microwave with dried apples inside. It's quite a disappointment.


Chocolate Decadence Cake It was so-so according to my sister.


Macapuno Pandan Cake The best Filipino-themed cake we've tasted so far. It's a must-try.


Sans Rival I wasn't able to taste this, but my husband was able to finish this cake. I guess it's quite good. :)

The overall experience was okay. The ambiance of the cafe and the staff were satisfactory. Take note of the word, "cafe," in their title because the place was transformed more like a cafe and not a restaurant. It's actually a good place to hang out with friends and family.

Pre-Valentine Lunch at Razzzo Bistro

Yesterday, my sister treated the whole family to lunch at Razzzo Bistro in BF Homes, Paranaque because she purchased groupon vouchers. I do see Razzzo quite often whenever we pass by Aguirre Avenue, but the resto did not appeal to me on the outside. I thought it was a bar or a gimmick place, but when we came inside, I was surprised to see how beautiful and elegant the interior was. The place was so cozy and it can be a place where you can bring your date out to dinner.

Cold Chocolate (P75).

It tasted like Chocquick or Choco Lava. I even saw some choco powder floating on the drink that didn't dissolve.

Sampler 2: Pizza, Pasta, and Mozzarella Sticks w/ blue lemonade (P199)

This is what I ordered and I loved everything that's on my plate. Pizza was freshly cooked, mozzarella sticks were crunchy and my white pasta was divine.

My brothers were the ones who ordered this. They said the patty was very good, but the overall taste of the sandwich lacks flavor.

All-Meat Pizza (P355). Good for 3-4 people

One of my personal favorites. It's freshly cooked and I love the taste. It doesn't have that much meat, though, but it's still delicious.

My sister loved this dish.

Spaghetti with Shrimps and Vegetables (P265)

My mom said this dish was also good.

Ah, yes. We were quite mesmerized with the place's comfort room because it was so clean and we loved the interior.

This is the ladies room and there are 2 toilets inside. Not sure what the other one is for, but my son who's 4 years old used the smaller toilet so I guess that's what it's for. They're also complete with hoses where you can wash down under :)

Razzzo's Menu:

We definitely recommend this place to couples, families, and friends because of it's great food and great ambiance. They also have a Valentine Set Meal Promo for people dining in. Simply call them for inquiries or reservations.

Dinner at Luk Yuen Noodle House

We've been dining in Luk Yuen for so many times and we never get tired of their food. We went to Makati last month and decided to try out Glorietta 5's Luk Yuen branch.
