Grami Hotel Review

My husband and I needed a place to stay only for a few hours so we decided to stay at Grami Hotel where they offer a 4-hour stay for only P700 from 7 AM to 7 PM. They charge P300 pesos per succeeding hour.  This hotel is just walking distance to SM BF Paranaque so if you have an event to attend to in SM and needed a place to stay for the meantime, this is the perfect hotel for you.
Here are some pictures I took while we're in Grami Hotel:

The lobby
It's quite small and no one's around since we arrived at around 9AM.
Business Center (Right beside the Reception Area)
Hallway

The Bedroom
They offer clean rooms with some hotel-like amenities. As you would notice in the picture below, you don't have any view in the window because it's covered.

Their CRT TV (with cable) and their mini bar underneath with drinks and choco bars

Table with mirror and hair blower. Their hair blower is indeed strong
Room Service Menu
We haven't tried their food, but their Korean food menu looks delish!

BATHROOM
They offer clean and quite spacious bathrooms with strong water ( includes a hot and cold shower ). They have shampoo, soap, body cleanser, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and 2 towels.

Overall, our stay was pleasant. The hotel staff was professional and courteous, air conditioned rooms were clean and nice, and their rates are reasonable (all major credit cards accepted).

Here's a list of their facilities and services:

Free WIFI access at the lobby
All rooms with WIFI access except standard budget room
Fully Air Conditioned rooms
Cable Television
Minibar
Room Service
Bell Service
Massage Service
24H CCTV security
Airport Transfer servic
Laundry service

Christening Celebration at Big Plate

Last September 30, 2012 was my daughter's Christening and I decided to make reservations at Big Plate because of their reasonably priced buffet package!

Buffet Rates:
Adults: Php 298 per person + Php 60 per person for unlimited iced tea.
Kids: Php 168 (inclusive of 1 round of iced tea)

Coffee & Cake Combo at Serye Café Filipino

My sister bought the "Cake and Coffee Combination" promo from Ensogo and all I have to say is what we saw from the pictures is really what you get.

FYI: The promo is only P99 for a coffee and cake that's worth P200, but if you ordered a pair that exceeds the P200, then you'll have to pay the excess value.

The first pair: Café con sorbets with biscotti
Here's the biscotti
And here's the Cafe con Sorbets. My brother says it's simply coffee with ice cream.

2nd Pair: Café Mocha Manila with Suman
Cafe Mocha

Suman.
My mother says it lacks flavor. She still prefers suman wrapped inside banana leaves.

Here are the rest of the desserts we ordered with coffee:
Apple Pie
We didn't like this. It tasted like bread reheated in a microwave with dried apples inside. It's quite a disappointment.

Chocolate Decadence Cake
It was so-so according to my sister.

Macapuno Pandan Cake
The best Filipino-themed cake we've tasted so far. It's a must-try.

Sans Rival
I wasn't able to taste this, but my husband was able to finish this cake. I guess it's quite good. :)

The overall experience was okay. The ambiance of the cafe and the staff were satisfactory. Take note of the word, "cafe," in their title because the place was transformed more like a cafe and not a restaurant. It's actually a good place to hang out with friends and family.

Coffee and Mister Donut from 7-Eleven

I was craving for coffee since this morning and when I decided to go to 7/11 to pick up an item, I decided to try their Mocha Cappuccino. Of course, coffee is best teamed with a snack so I decided to buy some Mister Donut donuts (also found inside 7/11).

7/11's Mocha Cappuccino (small) is Php40.00.
It has a funny aftertaste and I do not recommend this if you're a coffee lover/critic.

Mister Donut Swakto Donuts (6 small pieces)  is worth Php35.00.
This is good for 2-3 people only. I still think it's worth it.

There are tons of stuff you can buy inside 7-Eleven and I think this establishment is a blessing especially during the holidays where all stores are closed and you just need to buy some basic groceries. 7-Eleven is always open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

P.S. What I don't like from 7-Eleven BF Homes branch is they only sell Selecta ice creams. They don't sell Magnolia frozen delights.
