Chairman Wang's Prime Beef Noodle House Review

Chairman Wang's Prime Beef Noodle House: Alabang's Newest Authentic Chinese Noodle House

Last April 1, 2014, I got invited in an intimate bloggers' gathering in Chairman Wang's Prime Beef Noodle House restaurant located in Molito ( a small mall situated beside Alabang Town Center), Alabang. It was actually my first time to attend a bloggers' event in a restaurant so it was pretty exciting for me.

Chairman Wang's Prime Beef Noodle House opened just last February of this year so it's pretty new.  Operations Manager, Ms. Blush Latay, and Marketing Manager, Ms. Alyz Tenorio, welcomed us and we talked a little bit about the restaurant's background. The name, "Chairman Wang's" actually came from  a real person named Mr. Wang who's a chef/businessman from Shanghai, China. He was actually the one who trained the people in Chairman Wang's restaurant on cooking to be able to catch that authentic Schezuan style, Chinese food. Too bad we weren't able to meet him in person.

Most of the interiors in this restaurant  were actually shipped from China.
Notice those railings at the second floor? It kind of reminds me of those Kung-fu movies where the protagonists dine in a restaurant that has the same design of railings. It really felt nice because it felt like you're really in China. The music they play is also a plus for me because they were playing those traditional Chinese music.

Fresh, hand-pulled noodles just like the Chinese do it. That's how fresh their noodles are. Their ingredients and spices are also imported from China.
Here's the food that we ordered:

APPETIZERS

Smoked Duck Breast in Hoisin Wrap (P240)
I love this. The duck meat was sweet and flavorful that really goes well with the veggies and the wrap. It's quite similar to Pritchon (Fried lechon in pita bread), but this one is tastier.

Braised Beancurd Skin with Soy Tofu (P150)
This one actually surprised me of its delicious taste! I love its crispy texture and somewhat meaty flavor even when there's no meat in it. It's easy to be a vegetarian if this is what I eat every day.

Shrimp Hakaw (P150)
Soft dumplings that gives you that yummy fresh shrimps inside. Definitely appetizing.

Main Course

Black Olive Fried Rice (P280)
Something different than your usual Chinese fried rice. It's actually good. I liked the mixture of the veggies, meat and the black olives.

Chinese Curry Lamb Casserole (P550)
At first bite, I thought the taste was similar to our very own Kaldereta, but what makes it stand out was its hint of spiciness and the lamb meat itself. You can never really go wrong with lamb because of its soft, juicy and succulent meat that satisfies every carnivore's palate.

Sweet and Sour Pork with Citrus Fruits (P280)
I guess you just can't eat in a Chinese resto without ordering a sweet and sour pork :D  It tastes just like the usual sweet and sour pork. I liked the citrus idea, but I still prefer the pineapples.
Poached Sliced Beef with Vermicelli in Spicy Sichuan Broth (P420)
I love the beef and the broth. The spiciness is quite bearable, but I think you can ask the chef to make it more spicy depending on your preference.

Chairman's Prime Beef Noodle Soup (P280)
This noodle soup is topped with flavorful Angus beef cuts that adds flavor to the dish. The soup is quite interesting, too. It has a thick texture that's a bit sweet and salty plus the flavor of the sesame seeds mixed in it. I liked it, but I didn't quite catch the beef flavor in it.  The noodles, however, was delicious even by themselves. It was quite firm and flavorful just the way I like it.This whole dish is something I would definitely order in a cold, rainy day.

DESSERT:

Chilled Coconut Milk Soup with Sago and Fresh Fruits ( 5- 6 pax, P350)
Definitely a refreshing end to our meal. I loved how the sweet and cold coco milk blended with the fruits (mango/melon, grapes and dragon fruit) and the sago. Very refreshing indeed.

DRINKS:

Lemon Ginger Ale (P180)
Consists of lemon juice, soda water, sliced lemon, fresh ginger, honey, and mint leaves.

I don't usually order this kind of beverage, but it's surprisingly yummy and refreshing. There's a hint of sweetness in it that goes well with the fresh lemon flavor. I didn't even notice the ginger in it which was quite all right.

Chrysanthemum Iced Tea (P180 per carafe)
Consists of Chrysantheum Tea, Longgan, Goji, Berries, Honey Mint Leaves
Too bad I wasn't able to drink this, but my fellow bloggers said they loved it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They also have function rooms or private rooms at the second floor that's good for 10 to 12 people max. It's perfect for small family gatherings and the like.

Me and my fellow foodie bloggers!

Here are pics of their menu in no particular order:

The "Tomato Eggs" actually caught my eye because in the Japanese movie, "Flavor of Happiness", this dish was the star dish of a Szechuan chef living in Japan. I got really curious so I do plan on ordering this when I return to Chairman Wang's.

Chairman Wang's Prime Beef Noodle House really opened my eyes to a variety of good Chinese food. I would really recommend this to my family especially to my mom who's a critic in Chinese cuisines and to my husband who's a noodle lover. I would really go back for more because there are still a lot of food in the menu that I'd like to try such as the Beef Brisket noodles, the tomato eggs, the fried noodles, etc. I really have nothing to complain about.  The food was excellent, the service was great and the place was just fine. I just hope nothing changes when we come back as regular customers.
